Medical devices - a tool, instrument, apparatus, equipment, material or other article, used alone or in combination, including software necessary for the proper use of the device, intended by the manufacturer for use in humans for the purpose of diagnosing, preventing and monitoring the course of diseases.

Only marked medical devices may be placed on the market and put into service CE mark.
